White Port is rare. This 19.5% alcohol per-or-after-dinner drink is excellent. Since 1880, Ramos Pinto has made Port from grapes grown on their own estate. The White Porto is more modern.

This $20 wine, scores 16 points on the 20 point Dionysian Scale. It is golden with green hints. It won’t last as long a red Ports, but its sweetness says it can age a decade.

I like it best after dinner on warm evenings with some simple blue cheese and thinly sliced crusted bread. It works better than the ruby Ports during warmer weather. In vino veritas.
